Hatton, St Stephen

Hatton St Stephen, photo by Richard Croft*
A delightful 19th-century church on the site of a medieval church.  On entry, look at the scroll naming rectors and patrons starting with Adam de Oteby in 1221, Richard de Hatton – vicar.  War memorial names of soldiers who died at Ypres in 1918 and a pilot who died in the Battle of Britain in 1941.  A peaceful church in a rural village.
